· Special classes for spoken English, Hindi and other languages

· Collaboration with Alliance Francoise and the British Council to promote the passion for linguistics

· Activities include Yoga, Swimming, Handcrafts, Tailoring, Typewriting, Driving classes etc

· NSS activities and encouragements to participate at National Level Competitions

· Encouragement to participate in inter-collegiate competitions and host programmes pertinent to the field of study as well as in Sports


The National Service Scheme (NSS) of the MPT has 500 volunteers. NSS Units are a source of strength to MPT. NSS volunteers are involved in literacy programmes, health and hygiene, community services, village re-construction, mass tree planting, environmental protection and social awareness programmes.

Asset Creation: As on date, the NSS volunteers both in special camping and regular activities have generated tangible social assets like check dams, water tanks, bus shelters, desilting of canals and ponds, white washing of school building, sanitary latrines, etc. Over 300 NSS Volunteers donated blood to sick persons.

Adoption of Villages: Under NSS Special Camping programmes, so far, various villages have been adopted by the NSS unit and the villages were given awareness programmes about Health and Hygiene, the importance of girl child education, women development, self help group, skill development, etc.

Communal harmony has been spread in villages. Various Government Welfare Programmes are being made known to the poor villagers and helped to seek government help.



The Blood donation camps are being conducted in our college campus. It also includes the awareness programmes on health and hygiene. The first aid programmes are also conducted every year for our students


ISTE has a good reputation in the field of technical education and it strives hard in order to cultivate a fraternal spirit among teachers, administrators, technicians, investigators, practitioners and industrialists. ISTE cooperates with Central and State Governments industry and approved institutions, professional bodies, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Department of Science and Technology (DST) and individuals in the cause of technical education and research. ISTE continues to be a leading non-profit making professional body in engineering in India

The major objective of the ISTE is to assist and contribute in the production and development of top quality professional engineers and technicians needed by the industries and other organizations.

In our institution, we have established ISTE Chapter and ISTE Student Chapter. Fresh batch 587 students got ISTE students membership for the year 2009-2012. Fresh batch 550 students got ISTE membership for the year 2010-2013 and lateral entry batch got 164 membership for the year 2010-2012. In our college, 2 staff got Annual membership and 123 staff got life time membership.
